Culver City
The newest addition to L.A.'s exploding network of cultural hotspots
Although founded in conjunction with the development of MGM Studios in 1915, Culver City's burgeoning art and design activity now rivals the entertainment industry in both output and reputation. This is due in large part to the high volume of internationally recognized galleries such as Blum and Poe, Susanne Vielmetter, MC and the contemporary non-profit LA><ART, all conveniently located within walking distance of one another.
Besides an ever-growing art scene, Culver City is now host to a number of excellent restaurants ranging from casual cafe atmosphere to high-concept dining. The New York Times cited Culver City as "Los Angeles's newest stylish neighborhood, a magnet for lovers of the arts, good food and culture."
