Cinefamily

Cinefamily membership gives you access to the city's best cinema club, regularly screening movie masterpieces and forgotton treasures

Launched in October 2007, The Cinefamily at the Silent Movie Theatre has already established itself as a staple of Los Angeles film culture. Under the direction of head programmer and Cinefile co-founder, Hadrian Belove, the venue operates according to the principle that cinema is best enjoyed as a social experience, presenting “exceptional, distinctive, weird and wonderful films” within an intimate setting.

Often essential viewings, the programs vary from art-house and rare independent gems to surprisingly sophisticated “low brow” genre flicks. Combined with the theatre’s fully restored art-deco façade, new screen and sound system, plush couches, and gourmet concession stand, Cinefamily is a welcome enclave for the cineaste public.
