The Best of Fall 2008 Benefittng Hollywood Arts

Every year thousands of young people end up on the streets of Los Angeles- some have run-away, others have aged out of foster care with no where to go. Hollywood Arts offers 15 arts-based classes a week, at no cost, to young people in need, helping to break the cylce of poverty through education.

Tijuana California Biennial 2008 Events
Tijuana, B.C. Mexico, 4:30pm – 10pm
Located at the juncture between Mexico and the United States, at one of the most trafficked border crossings in the world, the city of Tijuana is recognized as an important laboratory for the exploration of contemporary art practices, architecture, urbanism, and popular culture. CB08 crosses this international border and partners with Estación Tijuana, Lui Velazquez, and EL CUBO, the new museum addition to Centro Cultural de Tijuana (CECUT), three venues critical to the city’s cultural infrastructure to stage a series of binational exchanges and collaborations
When It's A Photograph

Exhibition examining contemporary photography's fascination with altered states of the traditional photograph. Curated by Soo Kim, Artist and Otis Interim Program Director of Photography and featuring works by Doug Aitken, John Bock, Wolfgang Tillmans and James Welling
