Vlatka Horvat reception and artist talk
Outpost for Contemporary Art, 7–8:30pm
During her residency at Outpost, Vlatka Horvat will lay the groundwork for a public art project, using the residency as a research period to familiarize herself with Los Angeles, and explore ways in which to intervene within the city

Holy Sh*t: Scatology and Longing in the Art of James Ensor
LACMA, Bing Theater, 7pm
Kevin Salatino, curator of the prints and drawings department, examines Ensor's most outrageous scatological images in their historical and cultural context

FRIDAY OCTOBER 24
Chora Prints 2008: New Political Posters From TJ2LA
Under Spring, 7–10pm
Chora, Self-Help Graphics and Casa Del Tunel: Art Center team up with two-dozen artists to produce posters about what they consider to be the key North American political issues of the day

Friedrich Kunath EMOH
Blum & Poe, 6–8pm
Painting, sculpture and photography are featured in Kunath's third solo exhibition at the gallery

SATURDAY OCTOBER 25
Dee-Dee Does Utopia Reception and Booksigning
